About Nehemías AI
What is Nehemías AI?
Nehemías AI is an all-in-one church management system with pastoral AI built in. It combines member CRM, double-entry accounting, attendance, small groups, online giving, member portal, and mobile app in a single platform built from the ground up for Hispanic and bilingual churches. Unlike generic tools, it understands pastoral context: discipleship paths, cell groups, retreats, designated offerings, contribution statements, and more. See all features at /en/features.
How is it different from Planning Center, Tithe.ly, Breeze, or Adminfiel?
Planning Center and Breeze are strong on logistics but weak on real accounting and English-first. Tithe.ly started as a giving processor and lacks pastoral depth. Adminfiel covers the basics in Spanish but has no AI and no modern architecture. Nehemías AI is the only platform with 7 pastoral AI agents, real double-entry accounting, and native Latin American Spanish support, all in one price. Full comparisons at /en/alternatives.
Who is behind the product?
Nehemías AI is built by a team with deep roots in Hispanic ministry across the United States and Latin America. We combine real pastoral experience with modern software engineering. We aren't a generic company that decided to build for churches: we built this because we needed it ourselves. Learn more at /en/about.
Which countries does it operate in?
Nehemías AI operates in the United States, Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Chile, Ecuador, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Spain, and the entire Spanish-speaking world. The platform supports multiple currencies, time zones, languages (Spanish and English), and local tax regulations. Country-specific pages available at /en.
How many churches use it?
We're in early-stage growth with active pilot churches across several Hispanic countries. We prefer being honest about our size rather than inflating numbers. What we guarantee: direct access to the founding team, personalized onboarding, and that your feedback shapes the product. You lose that when you work with a giant like Planning Center.
Is it only for Hispanic churches?
No. Although we were designed Spanish-first, we have a complete English interface (/en) and many use cases in bilingual churches in the United States. If your congregation runs services in both Spanish and English, Nehemías AI is one of the few platforms where both teams work in the same system without friction.
Is it only for evangelical churches?
Not exclusively. While most of our users are evangelical or Pentecostal, the platform works equally well for Catholic, Presbyterian, Methodist, Baptist, and non-denominational churches. The features are neutral: members, donations, events, groups, accounting. We don't impose theological terminology.
Is it open source?
No, Nehemías AI is proprietary cloud-hosted software (SaaS). This allows us to iterate fast, maintain centralized security, and offer direct support. However, your church's data is always yours and you can export it at any time in open formats like CSV and JSON.
Pricing and plans
How much does Nehemías AI cost?
Nehemías AI has three plans: Starter from $29 USD/month for small churches (up to 150 members), Pro from $79 USD/month for mid-sized churches (up to 500 members), and Enterprise for large congregations with custom needs. Final prices vary by country and currency. See the fully transparent breakdown at /en/pricing.
Is there a free tier?
We offer a 30-day free trial with full Pro access, no credit card required. We don't have a permanent free plan because we'd rather a reasonable number of churches pay a fair price than have thousands of inactive accounts that degrade the product. If your church has genuine financial constraints, email us at /en/contact: we have a missions program with discounts.
What's the difference between Starter, Pro, and Enterprise?
Starter includes CRM, attendance, online giving, basic member portal, and 1 AI agent. Pro adds full double-entry accounting, all 7 pastoral AI agents, small groups, mobile app, integrations (Stripe, Zapier), and up to 500 members. Enterprise adds multi-campus, dedicated API, SSO, account manager, SLA, and unlimited members. Full table at /en/pricing.
Is there a discount for annual billing?
Yes. If you pay annually you get 2 months free (roughly 17% off). This applies automatically when you choose the annual option at checkout. For Enterprise plans we offer additional negotiation on multi-year contracts.
Are there setup fees or hidden costs?
No setup fees. No hidden costs. We don't charge per staff seat (pastors, treasurers, leaders can be unlimited within your plan). The only variable costs are payment gateway fees (Stripe, PayPal, etc.) when processing online donations, and those go directly to them, not to us.
What happens if I exceed the member limit?
Nothing dramatic. We don't cut off service. We notify you by email when you hit 90% of the limit and suggest upgrading to the next tier. If you exceed the limit for one spot month (evangelism campaign, campus merger) no problem either. We're reasonable. We only force the upgrade if growth is sustained for 2-3 months.
Do you accept Mexican, Colombian, or Argentine pesos?
Yes. We charge in local currency in Mexico (MXN), Colombia (COP), Argentina (ARS), Chile (CLP), Peru (PEN), and other major Latin American currencies via Stripe, MercadoPago, or direct transfer. We adjust prices by purchasing power parity so a church in Guatemala doesn't pay the same as one in California.
Is there a money-back guarantee?
Yes. We offer a full money-back guarantee during the first 30 days, no questions asked. If after trying Nehemías AI you feel it's not right for your church, email us and we'll refund you. You can also cancel at any time without penalty: we have no long-term contracts on Starter or Pro.
Artificial Intelligence
What do the 7 AI agents do?
The 7 agents cover specific ministry areas: (1) Assistant Pastor suggests follow-ups for absent members, (2) Treasurer analyzes giving patterns and flags anomalies, (3) Secretary generates minutes, communications, and reports, (4) Cell Group Leader suggests multiplication and distribution, (5) Evangelism prioritizes visitors, (6) Discipleship suggests paths per member, (7) Counseling summarizes sessions while respecting confidentiality. All respond in natural English or Spanish.
Does AI replace the pastor?
Absolutely not. AI never ministers, counsels, or preaches. What it does is free the pastor from administrative tasks that eat up hours: identifying who missed 3 Sundays in a row, summarizing a leadership meeting, drafting a communication, detecting a financial irregularity. The time saved is invested in what only a human can do: real pastoral relationships.
Is my pastoral data used to train the AI?
No. Never. Your church's data is yours. We don't train models on your members, donations, pastoral notes, or anything. We use commercial third-party models (OpenAI, Anthropic) with enterprise agreements that explicitly prohibit using your data for training. This is written in our privacy policy at /en/security.
Which AI model do you use (GPT, Claude, etc.)?
We use a combination of models depending on the task: Anthropic's Claude for long analysis and pastoral reasoning, OpenAI's GPT for fast generation, and smaller open-source models for simple tasks. This multi-model architecture lets us optimize cost and quality. You're not locked into a single provider.
Do the agents work in Spanish?
Yes, and this is a key difference. Most church tools with AI were built in English and then translated. Our agents were tested and tuned specifically for Latin American Spanish with correct pastoral terminology (diezmo, célula, ministerio, congregación) and culturally appropriate tone. They also work in English with the same quality.
Accounting and finance
Does it have real double-entry accounting?
Yes. This is one of our biggest differentiators. Nehemías AI implements real double-entry accounting with a hierarchical chart of accounts, balanced journal entries, bank reconciliation, income statement, balance sheet, and general ledger. It's not just a giving tracker: it's serious accounting that would pass an audit. Tools like Breeze or Tithe.ly don't have this.
Does it generate tax contribution statements (US 501c3, Mexico, Colombia)?
Yes. We automatically generate annual contribution statements for IRS (501c3) in the United States, SAT in Mexico, DIAN in Colombia, and equivalent formats in Peru, Chile, Argentina, Spain. Members can download their own statement from the portal. Churches can issue them in bulk with one click.
Does it integrate with QuickBooks?
Yes. We offer direct export to QuickBooks Online in IIF format or compatible CSV, for churches that already work with an external accountant using QuickBooks. However, many churches discover that Nehemías AI's accounting is so complete they stop needing QuickBooks altogether.
Do you process online donations directly?
Yes. Members can donate from the web portal, the mobile app, or a public link shareable over WhatsApp. Donations are automatically recorded in accounting, assigned to the correct fund (general, missions, building), and generate an instant receipt. We support recurring donations, multiple funds, and pledges.
Which payment gateways do you support?
We support Stripe (cards globally), PayPal, MercadoPago (LatAm), Pix (Brazil), Yape and Plin (Peru), Zelle (US), SPEI transfer (Mexico), and soon Nequi and Daviplata (Colombia). Fees are the provider's; we don't mark up transactions.
Security and privacy
Is my data safe?
Yes. Nehemías AI runs on Vercel and Supabase (AWS) infrastructure, both SOC 2 Type II certified. We use TLS 1.2+ encryption in transit, AES-256 at rest, Row Level Security at the database level, daily backups, and 24/7 intrusion monitoring. Full technical details at /en/security.
Can another church see my data?
Impossible. Each church is a fully isolated tenant via Row Level Security (RLS) at the PostgreSQL database level. This means even if there were a bug in the application code, the database would physically reject any query trying to read another tenant's data. It's the same architecture banks use.
Are you GDPR, LOPD, or CCPA compliant?
We comply with the core principles of GDPR (Europe), LOPD (Spain), and CCPA (California): data minimization, right of access, right to be forgotten, portability, and explicit consent. We process deletion requests within 30 days. We never sell data to third parties, for any reason.
Where is data stored physically?
Data is stored in AWS data centers in us-east-1 (Virginia) by default. For European churches or those requiring specific data residency on Enterprise plans, we can configure alternative regions (eu-west-1 Ireland, sa-east-1 São Paulo). This is covered in our data processing agreement.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
When you cancel, your data remains accessible for 30 days so you can fully export it in CSV, JSON, or PDF. After that period we delete it from our servers and backups within 90 days. We send written confirmation when the deletion process completes. Your data is yours, always.
Migration
Can I migrate from Planning Center, Tithe.ly, Breeze, or Excel?
Yes. We have dedicated importers for Planning Center, Tithe.ly, Breeze, ChurchTrac, Adminfiel, and generic formats like CSV and Excel. We import members, families, donation history, attendance, groups, and notes. If you use a tool not on the list, email us: in 90% of cases we can do the migration manually at no extra cost.
How long does migration take?
It depends on size. For small churches (under 300 members) automatic migration takes 15 minutes to 2 hours. For mid-sized churches with extensive history, 1 to 3 days. Large churches or complex data can take up to a week. In all cases, we accompany the process and validate the data before making it official.
Do you help with migration?
Yes, and it's free on all plans. A member of our onboarding team walks you through it over video call, reviews your current data, runs the import, validates the results, and trains you in the first weeks. Enterprise plans include full assisted migration with a zero-data-loss guarantee.
Do my members have to sign up again?
Not necessarily. We can pre-create all member accounts during migration and send them a welcome email with a magic link to activate them. Members don't have to remember a new password: they log in with one click. This dramatically reduces switching friction.
What gets imported and what doesn't?
We import: members, families, contacts, full donation history, attendance, groups/cells, past events, basic notes, and tags. We don't auto-import: binary file attachments (photos, PDFs), tool-specific configurations, automation rules. Those can be migrated manually if critical.
Mobile app and member portal
Is there a mobile app?
Yes. We have native mobile apps for iOS and Android built with React Native. Members can view events, sign up for groups, donate, see their giving history, download tax statements, receive push notifications from the pastor, and communicate with their cell leader. Staff can take attendance, write pastoral notes, and access the CRM from their phone.
Is it in App Store and Google Play?
Yes, the app is available on Apple App Store and Google Play Store under the name Nehemías AI. For Enterprise churches we offer white-label: we publish the app with your church's name and branding on both stores, for an additional setup fee.
Does it work offline?
Partially. Read functions (viewing members, events, past donations) work offline once the data is synced. Write functions (taking attendance, creating a note) are saved locally and sync automatically when connectivity returns. This is critical for churches in areas with unstable internet.
What can members do from the portal?
Members can: update their profile and photo, view their donation history, download annual contribution statements, donate online, sign up for events and small groups, view the church directory (if the pastor enables it), read announcements, submit prayer requests, and contact their leader. The portal is responsive and works on any device.
Do they receive push notifications?
Yes. Members receive push notifications in the mobile app for: event reminders, donation confirmations, pastoral messages, prayer request replies, and small group alerts. The pastor can send mass notifications segmented by group, role, or campus with one click.
Support and training
What is customer support like?
Live chat and email support during extended hours (Monday to Saturday, 8am-8pm Pacific). Average response time: under 2 hours during business hours, under 24 hours otherwise. Enterprise plans include a direct phone line, dedicated account manager, and SLA with 1-hour response guarantee for critical incidents.
Is there initial training?
Yes, included in all plans at no extra cost. Onboarding includes: kickoff video call (90 min), assisted data migration, 2 training sessions for your team (pastors, treasurer, secretary, leaders), access to a library of video tutorials in English and Spanish, and ready-to-use templates. Enterprise plans add on-site training where location permits.
Is there a user manual?
Yes. We have complete documentation in English and Spanish at /en/docs, with step-by-step guides, screenshots, and short videos. Documentation is organized by role (pastor, treasurer, secretary, cell leader) so each person quickly finds what they need. There's also a real-world use case section.
Do you speak Spanish?
Yes, natively. Our entire support team and founding team speaks fluent Latin American Spanish. We don't rely on translators or chatbots. When you talk to support you talk to a real person who understands Hispanic ministry context. This contrasts with Planning Center or Breeze, where support is English-only.
How do I cancel my account?
Cancellation is self-service and takes 30 seconds. Go to Settings > Billing > Cancel subscription. No annoying retention form, no phone calls, no questions. Your data stays accessible for 30 days to export. You can reactivate at any time within that period without losing anything. Our job is to earn your stay every month, not trap you.
